Data sourcing & CCPA position

Where our data comes from
DayOneLead is a business-to-business service. The business listings in our product are compiled from publicly available sources, primarily public business registration records filed with state government agencies (Secretaries of State and equivalent business-filing offices), together with business contact information that is publicly available. We do not buy data from third-party data brokers.
Our position under the CCPA
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) excludes from the definition of “personal information” any information that is lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records, as well as information that is lawfully available to the general public. Because the records we compile are drawn from these publicly available government and public sources, we take the good-faith position that this information falls within the CCPA’s “publicly available” exclusion.
We honor removal requests regardless
Whatever the classification, we respect requests from business owners. If you’d like your listing removed, want to opt out of the sale or sharing of information about you, or want to know what we hold, you can submit a request any time:
Remove my information · or email support@dayonelead.com
We process requests within 45 days, and we never charge you or treat you differently for making one. For the full picture of how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
